New Apple’s Mini DisplayPort
The specifications for the 1.2 revision of the new DisplayPort standard, planned for the summer, are every day more and more interesting. Following the announcement by the VESA (Video Electronic Standards Association) on “increasing the bandwidth (the increase of usable resolutions and refresh rates support higher), yesterday announced that the mini display port connector, the Apple for the line of laptops introduced in October last year to become a part of the DisplayPort standard, especially with version 1.2.

The mini-DisplayPort connectors were approved by the new Apple laptops, the less space, but are not part of the standard. Apple has recently announced that it intends to publish the specifications of the connections, so that other manufacturers, to ports and adapters are compatible.
It is not yet clear whether the mini-connectors can be used to support the new features, with the version 1.2. They contain virtually all connectors and cables needed, but perhaps because of miniaturization, may not be able to provide high data rates, the more resolutions.
